Wedding Wednesday: All-White Wedding Cakes

Travis and I had a very simple wedding cake with bright yellow accents and a cake topper that I made myself:

I wanted our cake to feel fun and I love the way it turned out, but lately I’ve been seeing pure white wedding cakes and I really like the look of them.  Going with an all-white scheme means you can be more creative with texture, dimension, or the color of the cake itself an not just the icing.  Take a look at what I mean…

What do you think of white wedding cakes?  Would you go for this look at your own wedding?  Which one of these is your favorite?  Share in the comments!

I love all of these (including yours!). I love the very simple white back drop of all these cakes and then the amazing textures! I wish I had seen some of these cake before my wedding. I probably would have done something different. :) Thanks for sharing. P.S. We will finally be working on a wedding together… Leann Alameda.

My cake was all-white! You can see it here . I believe it was soon after this picture was taken that my friend had the idea of plopping some of my mom’s great big white dahlias around the base, which was just gorgeous. Wish I had thought of that sooner!
