Wedding Wednesday: All-White Wedding Cakes

Travis and I had a very simple wedding cake with bright yellow accents and a cake topper that I made myself:

I wanted our cake to feel fun and I love the way it turned out, but lately I’ve been seeing pure white wedding cakes and I really like the look of them.  Going with an all-white scheme means you can be more creative with texture, dimension, or the color of the cake itself an not just the icing.  Take a look at what I mean…

    I love all of these (including yours!). I love the very simple white back drop of all these cakes and then the amazing textures! I wish I had seen some of these cake before my wedding.     My cake was all-white! You can see it here . I believe it was soon after this picture was taken that my friend had the idea of plopping some of my mom’s great big white dahlias around the base, which was just gorgeous. Wish I had thought of that sooner!

    I LOVE the first cake.. that is soooo gorgeous!! I had never really considered a whole white cake but that is so elegant looking I would def consider it for my big day!
