Wedding Wednesday: Accessorizing… Your Groom
I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about how to accessorize my wedding gown. But it occurred to me recently that there are a lot of little add-ons for Travis to think about, too! Check out which items we rounded up for him in the past week…
A tie. Most grooms will wear some sort of tie, and picking the color/style/pattern will set a major tone for his outfit. We wanted Travis’ look to be formal but fun, and the tie we chose for him played a big part in that.
Cufflinks. Not all grooms will go with cufflinks, but we figured “when else will Travis have the chance to wear a pair”? If your guy isn’t into being super-formal, check out Etsy for some fun twists on this traditional look.
Shoes. I think the big question with a groom’s shoes is whether to dress them up or down. Depending on the venue and overall feel of the wedding, sneakers can be a fun choice. Otherwise, it’s important to find a pair of comfy fancy shoes (a potentially difficult task!)
Socks. The only time anyone will see your groom’s socks is when he’s sitting down. But that doesn’t mean they have to be boring! I am super excited about the funky pair we found for Travis!
Am I forgetting any accessories for Travis on our big day? Would you trust your guy to pick them all out himself, or would you choose these items together? Are you into adding funky twists in your grooms wardrobe, or do you think it’s better to keep it traditional? Tell me what you think in the comments!
