Wedding Wednesday: Our Reception, Part #1

Last week, I took you through our ceremony.  And today, it’s all about the reception!

Once I started going through all of our photos, there was no way I could fit it all into one post.  So here is part 1… I’ll be back with part 2 this afternoon!

While the guests enjoyed a cocktail hour (ok let’s be honest… It was closer to an hour and a half) right after the ceremony, we took our portraits.

These first few were taken in our ceremony space…

I love this one of me and my parents.

Travis and me with his parents.

Our nieces were the cutest flower girls!

And their little bro made a pretty adorable ring bearer…

Then, we drove about 3 minutes away from my parents’ house to an old folks home!  It sounds weird, but they have the most beautiful apple orchards and barn.  I had been dying to take some wedding photos there, so on the day before the wedding, Travis drove over and asked them if we could take over their property for half an hour.  I was so excited when they said yes!  We even had one elderly visitor during our shoot :)

My beautiful and amazing bridesmaids.

My brothers! (The ones on either end of the photo are Travis’ brothers, but they’re mine now!)

The boys…

And a few more, just because :)

Check back in this afternoon for the photos of the actual reception!

Gorgeous! Where is this old folks home? Can I add it to my list of locations (of course asking permission like you did). Everything is beautiful! And you all look so wonderfully happy!
