Wedding Wednesday: A Big Weekend Coming Up!!

Travis and I are driving home for the weekend to visit family and participate in two of the more delightful aspects of wedding planning: engagement photos and food tasting!  I can’t wait…

Remember these engagement photos I posted on the blog over the summer?  Travis and I finally get to take some of our own!  I’m not usually a big fan of getting my photo taken, but I feel like this will be a special thing to look back on, and I’m really happy that we decided to go for it.  We spent this past weekend getting our outfits together, and I am currently scrambling to find someone who can give me a nice haircut on short notice!

As if that weren’t enough, we also get to meet up with a caterer to taste a bunch of yummy food on Sunday!  We picked a bunch of items from her menu, and I seriously don’t know how we’re going to narrow it down.

Travis and I have both been so busy lately— I can’t wait to get back into the wedding spirit, and I really can’t wait to share our photos with you!

    I have recently taken engagement photos and I pretty much jumped on the first chance I got to do it a few weeks after my fiance proposed to me. I had a friend of a friend do it for us and it was so worth it! We spent over 3 hours at different locations and took over 800 photos. We narrowed them down to about 100 after we got them back. With that many photos, you have to do something with them other than just put them in a book, right!? I am definitely incorporating the photos in our wedding around the ceremony site and reception. Some of the prettiest and most personal wedding pictures I have ever seen have always incorporated the pictures. Either on the tables or around the venue! I’m sure you guys will find lots of ways to show them off! Have fun with them!

    I would get engagement photos taken. My parents did not get any engagement photos taken and while I have always loved looking through their wedding photos, I wish they had engagement photos in there so I could get a better picture of what they looked like and wore at the time. It’s a neat way to share your life with your kids and friends.

    I work at a wedding chapel and I have always liked it when couples leave wallet size copies of a few of their engagement photos or good photos of them on the table as favors. Its cheap and all your friends and relatives get a picture of you without having to ask for it or you having to do a lot of work.
