I love the relaxation of a good spa experience, and something about this time of year makes me crave one even more…

Every Christmas Eve for the past eight years, my mom and I have taken an hour or two out of the holiday bustle to get pedicures together, and— not surprisingly— it is one of my favorite traditions.

I have decent pedicure equipment at home, so I can usually keep my feet looking pretty nice without a pricey trip to the nail salon, but there’s something about relaxing in that cushy leather chair with a magazine and getting my feet massaged that can’t possibly be replicated at home.

The foot massage is without a doubt my favorite part of the experience (though, the hot towels they wrap around your calves and feet is a close second), but I also like the fact that you get to enjoy your pretty feet for a week or more after the service.  It’s a gift that keeps on giving!

All this talk of pedicures has me itching to book an appointment… uh oh…
