POLL: How Old Is Too Old To Celebrate Halloween?

It finally felt like Fall in the Bay Area this weekend.  It was foggy and rainy and fabulous! Travis and I drove to Half Moon Bay to enjoy the Pumpkin Festival and pick out some pumpkins of our own!

That’s pretty much where the Hallowen spirit ends for me.  I love fall, I love pumpkin bread and hot tea and sweaters, and I love buying a bunch of sale-priced candy on November first. But I’m not super into dressing up or watching scary movies, and I am certainly not going trick-or-treating.

Don’t get me wrong, the moment we have kids I will be back in spirit, but I don’t really think Halloween is a holiday for grown-ups.

I know plenty of 20-somethings who would hate me for saying that, and I’m curious which category you fall into.

.

Do you still celebrate Halloween?  Do you go trick-or-treating or stick to costume parties?  If a teenager or adult showed up at your door and asked for candy, would you give it to them?  Tell me about your Halloween traditions in the comments!

I totally know how you feel…I love the fall sort of celebrations…but I’m not that into halloween itself…I only get a costume now if I am planning on going to a costume party for halloween, other than that, I would rather just skip the whole costume thing. And definitely NO on trick-or-treating…lol. Anyone over 13 shouldn’t do that.

I’ve never been into Halloween. I didn’t grow up in a neighborhood, so trick or treating when I was little was always a little funky. Now I only dress up if I’m going to a party or something and I have to. Or if I come up with a really sweet idea (which rarely happens).

…except this year. I’m going to wear a toga and be Saratoga.

We THOUGHT we saw Travis’s car at his parents house! Shoot, we should have said hi. Dana was here this weekend too! Oh yes, and I’m a big party pooper when it comes to Halloween…I’d rather skip straight to Thanksgiving.
