  I love the collar above, except Stella would get it dirty so fast. We weren’t ready for a dog 1) because we were renters and 2) because we were in college and gone so much, but my sister found Stella five years ago when she was a tiny furball, no bigger than my hand. I was trying to find her a home, but nobody wanted her, and she needed medical treatment since she was so young. But, things turned out well and I’ve had her for five years.   My husband & I got a dog nearly a year ago, and we didn’t realize we were allergice. We have no problem with outdoor dogs, but being cooped up with one is making us crazy. So, even though we love her to pieces, we need to rehome her. (Which is probably the biggest con of owning an animal). So, if you and Travis, or anyother blending beautiful readers are interested, let us know….

  We got her while renting, and that isn’t a problem though. Having time during the day is probably the biggest problem I found with owning an animal.

  I have been trying to convince Chris, my husband, to let us get a pet since we have been dating! Although I am having our daughter (probably later this week) which is super exciting and probably enough responsibility to kill us, we still have no pets. Chris hates dogs and I love them… and while this was not a deal-breaker, I wish that he would want a dog. I think I will try your strategy Kim. SPCA here we come. I mean all kids should grow up around animals right? :)

  At the moment my mom, brother, and I are trying to convince my dad to let us adopt this beautiful Siberian Husky puppy. He’s just so stubborn!

  I got a boxer, Ysus, 4 years ago when I was in college and renting an apartment with a girl that also had a boxer. Maybe it wasn’t the best timing but I would never regret getting her! If you get the right breed and size for you with the type of personality that suites you I think it’s a great thing! It is alot tougher to find places to live, especially with a 70 lb. dog but that’s fine with me! I couldn’t imagine not having her around. :)
