Currently Obsessed With: Waffles and Honey

Oh my goodness, sweet readers, I have found my new favorite jewelry brand and I am totally smitten!  Have you heard of Waffles & Honey?

They’re a little San Francisco-based shop with the most beautiful accessories, featuring natural cut stones and 14k gold.  Their creations are somehow both totally timeless and right on trend.

I rocked their Amethyst Geode Necklace over the weekend and got at least a dozen compliments!  I was wearing the most casual outfit, but I slipped on this necklace and suddenly felt so put together… which is basically a new mom’s dream come true :)

Since their pieces are even more beautiful layered, I’m already on the hunt for my next W&H piece.  And you better believe that I’m gifting these gems to my lady friends over the holidays.

If you want to snag an item or two from this gorgeous collection, you’re in luck: Waffles & Honey is offering {blending beautiful} readers a 15% discount with the code BEAUTIFUL15!  (And don’t forget to check them out on Facebook for new shop updates and exclusive discounts.)

(This post is sponsored by Waffles & Honey, but all the sentiments are mine!  I truly adore this brand and appreciate your support of the sponsors that make {blending beautiful} possible.)

An Exciting Announcement!

I have not been posting as much as I’d like to lately, but I promise I have a good excuse (besides the 3 month old that has been ruling the roost lately!)  I’ve been working hard setting up my Etsy shop, Heart of Hazel!

Heart of Hazel is a labor of love, inspired by my sweet Hazel Mae.  I’ve been making her lots of hair bows and headbands these past few months and have been having so much fun with it, I decided to turn it into a bona-fide little business.  Here’s a sneak peek of some of my creations…

You can browse the full selection on Etsy.  Heart of Hazel also has a Facebook page and Instagram feed featuring special discounts and giveaways, if you’re interested.  I’d love for you to check it out!

What goes around comes around: Are overalls hot or not?

S0, according to this blog post (which lists approval from a TON of fashion insiders), 90’s fashion continues its popularity with overalls making a big comeback.  Yep, you read that right: OVERALLS.  Seriously, here’s some proof…

I’m not gonna lie, I was a big fan of overalls back in the day.  I was also like ten years old, so my fashion sense certainly had its flaws.  (In 6th grade a wore a black suede newsboy cap pretty much every day.  Not cute.)

Am I alone in thinking this trend is totally bonkers?  Has anyone found a cute/flattering way of wearing overalls?  Please, prove me wrong…

My Top Grammy Pics… Who Wore Your Favorite Look?

What’s black and white and red all over?  Every single awesome look from The 2013 Grammys, that’s what!  As usual, the red carpet was full of ill-fitted, over-the-top misses.  But these six ladies really stood out from the pack… which do you like best?

{via}

Girls star Allison Williams made headlines for arriving to the bash as Katy Perry’s date, but I’m much more excited by her black diamond-encrusted number by Kaufmanfranco…

{via}

Natasha Bedingfield rocked this Emerson dress by pairing it with a metallic belt and clutch.

Leave it to Beyonce to ditch a gown altogether and still look fabulous!  Her Osman Yousefzada getup was a modern take on a retro color blocking look (and was undoubtedly way more comfy than the heavy gowns everyone else was wearing!)

Beyonce’s Destiny’s Child bandmate, Kelly Rowland, showed off her killer curves in this Georges Chakra cutout dress.  For any other awards show, this look might be a little too much.  But it was a perfect choice for the notoriously daring Grammys.

Taylor Swift looked positively radiant in this Grecian getup from J Mendel.  (I love her hair and makeup choices as well.)

But my favorite from the night?  Rihanna, who paired her perfect ombre locks with this red stunner by Alaia.  I mean, seriously… she looks RIDICULOUSLY good.

What did you think of the red carpet at last night’s Grammys?  Which look was your fave?  Share your thoughts in the comments!
