An Inexpensive Way To Add Some Flair To Your Hair!

Cosmetology school has obviously been rubbing off on me… I have been longing to add a little pink to my hair for the past few weeks.  I’m hesitant to do anything to it, since Travis and I are getting our engagement photos taken in a couple of weeks and I don’t feel like damaging my super-long locks.  My solution…?

Colored hair extensions!

These ready-made clip in extensions cost just $3.49 each at Sally’s Beauty Supply, and they’re super easy to use.  Just part your hair horizontally in the back, and clip them in to add a little punch of color.

Or, if you want to keep the same color, but extend the length of your hair, you can make your own hair extensions and wear them all over your head.  Check out an awesome video tutorial here!

What do you think of my pink highlights?  Have you ever worn extensions before?  Intrigued by the possibility of making your own?  Tell me what you think in the comments!

Fun! You remind me of Gwen Stefani! Remember when you used to be obsessed with her? I like the extensions because they are fun and carefree and not permanent.
    Happy Birthday :)

I wear hair extensions all of the time. I usually wear blue, pink or purple (not all at once though! LOL)

At work, during shows, we have a serious obsession of making and styling colored hair extensions, and by the time the show is over, everyone backstage has crazzzzzzy hair.

Every girl should have pink hair for their birthday!

I got my hurr weaved a couple years ago…it was both awesome and not so awesome. Weaves are really heavy, and you can’t run your fingers through your hair, but if you are growing out an A-line and it’s in that awkward inbetween stage, it’s kind of worth it. I am intrigued by the clips though. Great job on the blog, btw, I’ve been catching up on it and you have so many great topics! Keep it up =D

Lot’s of girls at our elementary school wear those! of course, they clip them to the TOP of their hair, which makes them look really goofy :P
