Want to Know How You REALLY Look in That Dress? Don’t Ask Your Girlfriends…
We’ve all been there before: on a shopping trip with a gaggle of girlfriends who all claim you look awesome in that tunic, when really you look 20 lbs. heavier than you actually are. It’s human nature, I guess, to tell white lies to our friends, but the truth is, we’re doing each other a disservice. So how do we know how we really look in those acid wash jeans?
Ask a four-year-old, of course!
Author Sunny Chanel posted a hilarious article on babble.com a few days ago with the help of her four-year-old daughter, Annabella. Annabella is a fashionista-in-training, according to Sunny, and she shared some of the cutest (and most honest!) comments about celeb fashion.
When she saw this picture of SJP…
…she said: “Her dress looks like a witch dress. Actually, she looks like a ballerina witch. She doesn’t look pretty. She looks kind of scary.”
She felt very differently about Nicole Richie’s purple frock…
…saying, “Ohhhh! Her dress is pretty! That is my favorite color. That and pink, purple, and green and red and black. Maybe she is a flamingo dancer?”
But her favorite seemed to be Jennifer Lopez.
Annabella said, “That girl is pretty. She is pretty pretty. All of her is pretty pretty. She’s a movie girl I think. Her dress reminds me of Alvin & the Chipmunks because one of the little chipmunk girls had a silver dress on just like it.”
Frankly, I couldn’t agree with her more!
